Lantana sits about 17 miles from our shop in Euless, so a panel job here gets scheduled, not squeezed in between closer calls. That matters more than it sounds - when we come out, we bring the tools to pull a full measurement on the first visit: panel height, width, hinge spacing, and the insulation core thickness, because guessing wrong on any of those means a second trip.
Most of the housing stock across our wider service area went up between 1953 and 2014, with a lot of it dating to the 1980s and 90s. Lantana runs newer than that - the typical home here was built around 2007, which puts the garage door itself on a different generation of hardware than what we see closer to Euless. That means fewer flat single-skin steel panels and more insulated sandwich-style sections with a foam core between two steel skins.
Once we confirm the panel profile and source a match - or the full replacement section if the manufacturer no longer makes that exact run - we pull the damaged section without disturbing the torsion spring system above it, unless that system is also compromised. We don't touch panels we can't match correctly; a mismatched section on a door this age looks worse than the dent did.
